Thanks for the answers. And sorry for posting on wrong forum
Read a lot negative reviews about Acronis True Image. Sometimes it crashes the whole system and so on. Is that true? Are there other good alternatives?
Answer #4
I never had any problems with it.
Answer #5
Best(back up software) depends on many things.
such as Backup time
Compression rate
restore time
Loading time,features
CPU/RAM usage
User friendly UI
etc
1.Acronis
2.Macrium Reflect
3.Aomei
4.Paragon
4.Easeus 5.Symantec Ghost Solution Suite etc
I am using Symantec System Recovery R2 2013(works on win 10 – compatibility mode)
Answer #6
i dont use any of those back up software but acronis is the most famous one. here are a few more free alternatives from the list i made a year back by doing extensive search , some of them may have changed their name and services as it is usual for back up softwares. so look if they satisfy your needs
AOMEI Backupper Standard AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition EaseUS Todo Backup Free
EaseUS Disk Copy Home Edition
EaseUS Partition Master Free Edition
Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home
Macrium Reflect Free
Macrorit Disk Partition Expert Free
MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition
Paragon Backup & Recovery Free Paragon Partition Manager Free Edition all of them were free at the time i have checked and had very high ratings, there should be premium versions of those also if you can find cracked versions of them.

No such thing as “best”.
What you might like, others might hate.
What you might hate, others might like.
See?
Yes.
So check reviews and decide yourself.
Answer #8
Backup time No important, because over night backup.
Compression rate Should be high.
Restore time No so important, because don`t use it so many times.
Loading time, features Sector for sector imaging and incremental backups are important.
CPU/RAM usage Not important during backup operation. In idle mode, less resource usage is better.
User friendly UI Not so important
Actually i do use Symantec Recover R2 2013, but sometimes backups stops at half without any error message. Resource usage is low, that`s good.

This is totally your personal opinion
Loading time, feature(one of the feature,Sector by sector imaging and incremental backups)
Backup Time should be considered (over night depends on how much GB.I don’t do that & many guys don’t want to rise whole night because of job or Class at morning)
Should be selected as Recommended
CPU/Ram Use, Important if u using it on windows environment(Though this is not recommended,I do,because i am lazy enough ).
User friendly UI is one of the focal points of all types of software not only backup
SSR2013R2(Back up stops at half stage,I haven’t face this issue).Uninstall, then reinstall can fix most of the issue not only SSR…
Answer #10
I use DriveImage XML for imaging and Syncback for files backup.
Answer #11
IMO you would be far better of making your own standard windows image with all your programs and settings & using network or cloud storage. That way you don’t have to waste disk space/cycles and time making backups of windows just your data.
Answer #12
“best” is very subjective..
But I have done a test – Acronis wins.
It’s not the absolute fastest but it wins by having a balance of size (of program), size ( of backup), speed of backup and restore, and features.
Answer #13
I use Macrium Reflect and never had any problems. It might not be the fastest one but it’s very stable. Solid option imo
Answer #14
Macrium Reflect with the WinPE for cold imaging backup/restore.
Cold imaging is the most reliable method.
Answer #15
I can highly recommend this boot DVD/USB..
Boot DVD/USB Sergei Strelec 2015 v8.0 (x86/x64)
It gives you a very user friendly interface (Live Windows 8 PE) from which to run all the goodies
and of course they run “cold”,and will do your backups and restores without your system drive being used
to run Windows.
Once you have finished with one app, you can just exit and go back to the desktop, then go to another.
Not like those dreadful DOS apps, where you have to reboot every time you scratch yourself!or want to exit that app.
It contains Macrium Reflect, Acronis etc etc..

BTW..When it is loaded up, go to start menu (Yes it’s a real Start Menu!) > Drivers, and load the Video driver,
this should give you a proper high res screen.
There are also drivers there for Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

Antivirus
Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10.0.32.17 (Run from Grub4Dos menu - only Fat32 USB)
If you need a Kaspersky Rescue Disk - download an image from the official website, rename it to rescue.iso, and copy it to the rescue folder on the USB flash drive.
MInstAll (special program shell) - Dmitry Malgin

Now there are plenty of apps around to put the ISO on USB and some seem to work better than others.
I found YUMI probably the best and most stable..(It works fine just for a single boot and you can try adding other stuff if you wish..)
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/
YUMI
Select your USB drive
Tick Format
For a Distribution, select “Windows Vista/7/8 Installer”
Then you can browse to your ISO, load it in, and go create!
