What’s a figure? eg. “They broke the 4 figure barrier.” What’s it mean?
There’s a car and it’s only 9,995 and the guys said: “WOW! They broke the 4 figure barrier!” And on the news they say how some people make 6 figure paychecks or something, what’s it mean?

lol xD thanks, but are you sure? some ppl said it was how many digits the number was. For example: 1,400 is 4 figures (digits), 400 is three digits(figures) and 1,940,000 is 7 figures. But your answer seems more reasonable.

Actually, the number in front does matter. 6 figure incomes would refer to $100,000-$999,999…7 figure incomes would be $1,000,000-$9,999,999, etc.
