What movie is this?

I remember seeing a movie when I was a kid & it was like Malena 2000.
The language was italian & it was about this beautiful very poor girl whit black hair
& she was living in the country & she became a victim of some men swindled in some love intrigue.It was black & white or had a filter.I remember the abject poverty & the sicilian ways of shame & social ostracism .

probably not fellini …it was pretty depressing stuff but i want to see it again
