I wanna know the name of a movie which i saw about 10 years ago.In that movie a boy and his dog get lost or something in a forest and they survive by eating some other things. Can someone tell me the name of the movie?

part of the story: a chopper will come there and pick up the boy, but not the dog… and then anyhow, dog will reaches the boys place…. isn’t it???
