What kind of Paypal Account should I create?

August 2nd, 2016

I’m about to create a Paypal account and I’m unsure what type to use: Personal or Business. The confusion comes because I’m wanting to accept payments for premium services at my website which might be considered a business, but it has no concrete location – it’s only virtual.
What should my account type be?
Thanks.

What is the difference between Personal, Premier, and Business accounts?
All PayPal accounts allow you to send and receive payments.
Personal: Recommended for individuals who shop and pay online, or wish to send or receive personal payments for shared expenses such as splitting of dinner bills or rental charges. We don't recommend that sellers open a Personal account to receive online payments, as the transaction fees are higher.
Premier: Recommended for casual sellers or non-businesses who wish to get paid online, and who also make online purchases.
Business: Recommended for merchants who operate under a company/group name. It offers additional features such as allowing up to 200 employees limited access to your account and customer service email alias for customer issues to be routed for faster follow-ups.

id go with business, i set mine up a few months ago, business has less restrictions and you can transfer, receive more money without the hassle of a personal account
Answer #4
@: There is no such thing as Premier anymore, there’s only Personal and Business. So I’ assuming that Business is taking the place of Premier.
Thanks for your responses everyone. I’ll be going with Business. Hope they wont make a big deal that I wont be providing a “business” address.
Answer #5
If your going business then you need to file tax with it. From what I had read a while back.
Answer #6
That all depends from one country to another. Most of the countries will not tax your online earnings. USA is of course different case altogether.
