What does mount mean?

May 11th, 2022

Ok well I downloaded http://www.google.com?p=19591128#19591128
A version of Adobe After Effects CS3, and I have problems with installation.
It says Adobe After Effects could not be installed but shared components were installed. Also when I tried to re-install it, it asked me to put the CD in.
So someone suggested to me that I should “mount” the “image” onto a CD using Daemon Tools or whatever magicISO doesn’t really mater.
What I don’t understand is what files do I “mount” and what does “mount” mean and what the heck an “image” is and how it may help my installation.
Please help if you know anything!
Thanks alot

Image is just a duplicate of that disk, which can be put on a virtual drive emulator.
Daemon tools is a great app which allows you to mount the disk. Mounting is just inserting the disk virtually. Images are usually in .iso extension, or can be others.

You can unextract the .iso or ‘mount’ (burn) it to a disc

This doens’t work for many games/apps. I have tried this for COD4, Crysis, and a few other software. It stops at the CD-Check section, no matter how many times you hit next after typing in the key, nothing happens.. You can try this method, but I’m not sure it will work.. You should mount the .iso or burn it. Use software such as PowerISO to mount/burn it… It’s a combo package so to speak. ha.
