I got a new laptop for school about a month ago at the most. Everything had been fine until 2 days ago when i noticed it glitches up, almost like a CD that’s skipping. I’ve never seen anything like this. It momentarily freezes up for about a second, and if i’m watching a video it makes this weird grinding kind of noise (sound from the speakers, not the parts). I can’t really explain it. It happens like every 30 seconds to a minute now. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

The sound is coming when you play a random video from your HDD? If Yes, it might be a codec problem, try getting K-lite Codec Pack

there’s never been a problem before. and it skips no matter what i’m doing, but the sound only comes when a video is playing
