Upgrade windows 7 x64

Hey ppl.. i have a windows 7 two in one dvd (x86/x64) and installed the 64 bit version.. lately my pc isn’t playing some games n i just want to ‘upgrade’ the OS but when it gives me the option for 32/64 bit, i choose the 64bit but it tells me that its not compatible. i even downloaded the 48in one laptop OS, the 9 in one but they say the same thing.Pliz help
