upgrade spelling check on firefox

does anyone know how to upgrade the spelling check on firefox because it really sucks.
the spell check for google is awesome so is yahoo
they know what your searching for

Maybe it’s your spelling that is bad. It works fine for me, spell checking as you type in forums and web based email. The only thing poor about it is the recommendations. It’s not meant to be a full spell checker, you can use a word processor for such things.

Do you have a spell checking extension ?
For serious stuff though you would be better off using “Word” or something !

get the google toolbar, and selecte customise, drag the spell check button into another toobar and hide the google toolbar. best of both worlds you get the google spell check without wasting toolbar space.

You can add new dictionaries at the FF add-ons page but I’m not sure about actually upgrading the spell cehcking mechanism itself
