Unknown Disc error.

I’m getting an error whenever I play these custom DVD’s.
Basically I bought some DVD-RW discs and I downloaded an .avi of Twilight. I burned Twilight to the discs (probably did it wrongly – it was my first time) and went to play them on my DVD player. My DVD player says “Unknown Disc” and I’ve tried it on my 2nd player, too.
It works on my PC and shows on my D drive as Twilight.avi which I wasn’t expecting, I was expecting a format change, but anyway.
Anyone able to help?

Ok lets clarify a few things , firsly unless the specific dvd player unit supports avi/divx playback or not , if not it certainly requires conversion to a format your dvd player will recognize , i reccome3nd convert x to dvd for such tasks , best regards.

Hi again.
I used ConvertXtoDVD and managed to get the DVD playing, but it’s jumping/freezing every 2 seconds or so… Any idea why?
I might’ve chosen some wrong settings or something. Or is my DVD player simply not compatible with DVDRW’s?
