Also, in my device manager I have managed to create multiple “Unknown Device” drivers. Whenever I am trying to update it is getting blocked. Please guys, help me out

Answer #1
Did you run the setups as Administrator? Right click and “run as admin”
Did you check Antivirus settings, some antivirus will stop Autorun/Registry changes/ Host file changes etc. You may need to disable AV altogether.
Answer #2
You should be able to extract iso file with Winrar.
Then enter that folder and run setup file.

Just had done that. I had re-installed Virtual Clone drive as administrator. During the middle of the installation I got an error message – “Installation Failed” and strangely post that message, it said installation completed. After rebooting, when I try to mount an image, I get an error message – “Cant open VCD”

– I had also extracted the contents of the ISO file and tried to run the setup. THe installation had started and for 4-5 min the bar hadn’t moved. Should I wait for more time???
Answer #5
Yes, just wait.

During the installation of Virtual Clone Drive as I remember it will ask you can it install necessary driver.
If you wasn’t asked about it, it is possible that something prevent that, maybe your antivirus program, maybe your UAC settings, don’t know.
EDIT2:
And……
Answer #6
Done with the installation of MS Office.
In case of Virtual Clone Drive installation – I was not asked to install any necessary drivers
Answer #7
Usually winrar can help you like now, but it can be a problem if you need to install more CDs/isos, and if you can’t join them then need of virtual drive is a must.
I google a little – during VCD installation you should get this:

But if you didn’t get it I don’t know what could prevent it, as I said maybe UAC if it is ON on your side/your antivirus, but really don’t know.
EDIT:
You can try next:
1. Run a cmd.exe prompt using "Run as Administrator"
2. Enter the command "bcdedit /set nointegritychecks ON" - this is without quotes I'm sure.
3. Restart your computer
4. Install VCD -- it should now prompt you to approve the driver install
5. Repeat steps 1-3, but change "ON" to "OFF" to re-enable driver integrity checks.
VCD should now be fully, properly installed, and functioning normally.

? maybe search our forums for a dload version that doesn’t call for virtual mode ?
