trouble with xbox live and comtrend router

i got new internet service and now have a comtrend adsl2+ ct-5612t router. it seems it doesnt like to work with xbox live very easily. i’ve read about changing the dhcp settings, but i cant get into the routers menu. can wbb help me?

still no ideas. anyone know if ‘pfconfig’ is a safe program? its supposed to help somehow, but its kinda sketchy looking.
