Tom Tom for iPhone, do i need to jailbreak first?

hi,
i have an iPhone 3G version 3.1.2 on O2 and had the sim unlocked while I was in Europe. I want to install Tom Tom Europe but do i need to jailbreak the iPhone 1st or can I just install the app once dloaded??
Any help much appreciated

Is it a cracked version or did you buy it in the App Store?
If it’s a cracked version (prolly IPA-file): yes you need to jailbreak your iphone and follow this procedure:

If it’s the original app, you don’t need to jailbreak anything.

Actually, there is virtually no risk in jailbreaking.
It’s impossible to brick an iDevice due to DFU mode.
A jailbreak does void your warranty, however a factory restore using OFW will nullify the jailbreak and no one would ever be able to tell if it was ever jailbroken.

Ok thanks,worked fine but I had to revert back to 3.0 from 3.1.2 to get jailbreak but can i update it back to 3.1.2??

Well i used blackra1n instead and it worked out fine for 3.1.2, thanks for all the help and advice!

This is BS, because you can do restore to factory settings ( through iTunes to lates FW version and they wont know that you did that – JB )

If you want to use cracked applications then you MUST jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch, in other hand If you want to use only paid appz then you dont need to JB device!
