Jailbreaking make you able to put software/apps a themes on the iPhone which you previously couldn’t because pof copyright reasons.
Unlocking means you can use it with any service provider or with any sim card, if im not mistaken.
If you want apps download quickpwn a its a very simple process a you can then add apps a games to your iphone

I take it you have a 3G iPhone:
To install cracked apps, you only want to JailBreak, don’t worry about unlocking.
Download quickpwn a follow the instructions to jailbreak only. Make sure you have all the files before you start:

Unlocking is pointless, I guess you either have a contract with O2 or AT&T. If you want to change your provider you would unlock it but as you only want cracked apps you have no need to unlock it. Just unlock it as DB said a youcan have all the cracked apps you want
