Staticky Mic only on Vista and Windows 7

My mic works perfectly fine on XP but since ive upgraded to 7 there is so much static in the background. I use it to record in Adobe audition. It is a USB mic. It is the Samson GTrack. Its very annoying. If anyone can help please do.

Do you have some kind of options for your audio card?! I have this, and I disable all other noises…

you may need to update the drivers, first try checking windows update in both important and optional to see if there is one. after that, check google for “Samson GTrack drivers win7” without the quotes.
