How will SSD drive change gaming, what do you think?
I dont know much about it, is it as fast or faster than ram? That would mean you have forexample 512 GB ram?
How would it change gaming then? More polygons? Video card is for textures, physics, lights…so what will dramatically change since its so much better than normal hd? And when will developers make use of it?

Answer #1
It will not add more than a few (or none) fps in games.
SSDs are better as they last longer, use less power, and read and write faster.
Gaming mainly depends on a power GPU and a decent CPU (and of course, RAM)
Answer #2
You wont see a immediate drastic improvement in games.
What you will see is slightly faster load times.
And installing games can be done much faster.
The main benefits are for your PC outside of gaming, the machine will be much snappier as everything loads as fast as you can click it.
Answer #3
A SSD should reduce the time the game takes to load up and to change scenes.
In other words, times when things are normally read and written to your HDD.

Though I don’t really like nor recommend Tom’s Hardware this is pretty much the only test like it out there currently.

Around 2GB of frame buffer is enough to be honest. It’s not the deciding factor for a video card.
