(Sorted )Help Installing Windows ?
July 28th, 2013
If i was you i would get a partition software to partition it first. Make sure the first c drive is active drive also. Otherswise if you let windows do it, it will set up a minumum of 2 drives, and 1 of those is a drive you cannot see.
First off all what Windows will you use? Windows 7 or XP?
Second how would you perform Installation (format) using DVD/CD or USB Flash?
After that you will get proper answer…

Yeah, I know, always with same post (copy/paste) but problem is it’s not always right topic for it…
No partitioning is needed..Just boot with Windows install CD and Format and fresh install..
Unless if you want to partition..But no need if you only want to install a fresh windows..

what this guy said but if you dont even know how to install an OS then ild take it to someone that does sorry if that sounded mean didnt intend n that
1> Get into your bios by hitting either del or f1 or f2 its different on some machines
2> make sure that your dvd\cd drive is first boot device
3>save and exit
4>put the cd with the OS in the dvd\cd drive reset the computer
5>it should say hit any key to boot from cd\dvd so press any key
6>it should load up to a screen where you have all the things you need to install windows……..i personally never make a partition but its up to you
7>then windows will start installing hope this helps you out
also anything you want to keep back it up cause it will delete everything off your hdd
hi all thanks for all the help im new to this as you all can imagine but i do appreciate all the sugestions. i dont really want to do a partition i was hoping i could just run the windows 7 back in to my laptop from a disc and if i do this will i have to back up all programme files.what i mean is the laptop there is nothing on it so its back to day i but still very slow so i was thinking i could just run the cd and hey presto new laptop again.sorry slow getting back but was working thanks again to all
You only have to backup if you want too. Boot from the Windows DVD and follow the instructions, it’s really easy,
so i finally done it and it worked out 100 % i would like to thank all of you especially
