[SOLVED]I need computer components suggestions….

August 12th, 2013

This is the situation guys.
I’m thinking of buying a new computer, but seeing I already have a few parts lying around, I only need just a few more(the most important).
What I have:
– new 500W powers supply
– CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer
– ASUS GeForce 8600GTS Silentcool 675MHZ 256MB DDR3 PCI-E DIRECTX10
– Seagate 320Gb SATA HDD(this is more than enough for my storage needs)
What I need:
– Computer case(a really silent one if possible)
– Motherboard(w/ HDMI, USB3, and all those plugs that one might need)
– CPU(Intel i7 preferably, fanless cooling)
– 8GB DDR3 memory
– SSD HDD to install Win7(?? Gb, brand)
I’m not too much of a computer savvy so I really have no idea what to look for when it comes to buying all of the items above.
I do know they have to be compatible and this is where I’m stuck.
All I need form you guys is to gimme a hand with what I have to look for…that means you tell me what I have to buy and I’ll do the rest(looking for the places to buy them from, prices, etc).
If you can also recommend a place/online store where I can get them from that would be great.
If you think I need to add anything more to the “What I need” list, please lemme know.
Someone gave me this website to take a look at but when I saw all the option for the motherboard, I just closed the website and went out for a walk.

I’m in Montreal, Canada if that’s any help.
Thanks a lot guys and please ask any questions if you think more info is needed to make this thing more simple.

What do you intend to use the pc for i7 may well be overkill depending on what you are going to be using it for you may be able to save yourself some cash by going with an i5.

Answer #2
The PC will be for home use, nothing special.
I was thinking of going with i7 as it’s a little bit better than i5.
If I would go with a i5, which one do you recommend ??!
Will I be able to use my videocard on that motherboard ?!?
And what about a good silent(not too expensive) PC case that can hold all those parts.
And I see some cheaper M/Bs on Newegg…..wouldn’t one of those be good instead of the +200$ one ?!?
