[SOLVED]how do I calculate arch length

January 28th, 2020

Its been years since I took trigonometry I dont remember nothing
How do I figure out the length of this arch? if I knew the degree of the arch and the diameter of the circle Image

Answer #1
S = Arc Length
θ = Degree of Angle
r = radius
S = θ/r
Answer #2
S = Arc Length
θ = Degree of Angle
r = radius
S = θ/r

Actually, I think it’s S = θr, provided that θ is in radian measure.

Yes, S=θr where θ is in radians and (θ r pi)/180 where θ is in degrees.
