[SOLVED]Graphic card problem

August 18th, 2013

well this happened to me all of a sudden….i was watching a movie when suddenly my monitor switched off(i heard a weird clicking noise before it turned off) but my cpu was still running,so i switched off my pc by turning off the power supply and i restarted my pc
this time my monitor switched off when it was booting but i could hear the sound right after the “welcome” which comes up after booting so i guess my pc was still running
so i opened up my cpu to see if there were any loose connections(there were none)so i decided to take my graphic card out and then i restarted my pc
it works fine now
so can anyone tell me what happened and how do i fix this??
thanks in advance

Remove the Card and Clean PCI-E Slot. And GPU. Then Put it and try. Or Go Bios Check display setting.

removing and reseating my have solved the problem

i cleaned out the entire system and the fan was not rotating and i guess the card was overheated so it switched off
so i gave to a guy i know and he was able to fix it
thnx for the help guys
Answer #4
I had the same card man. Used it for two years and I recently got it changed. When I took my 9400GT out, the fan was split in two.
