They normally tell your ISP to give you a cease and desist warning. If they catch you download off torrents again they cut you off.
Simply put, with torrents, you have to be careful. Don’t download any newly formed (0-3 days old) torrents and you should be fine. Also, look at the comments before torrenting.

HTTP is safe, torrents not so much. If you really want to do with torrents, stay away from public trackers!

Not all just look for comments if you download torrents. or find a trusted seeder.

Torrents are safe unless u download from private trackers. Avoid public trackers.
