[SOLVED] MSE and COMODO Firewall

January 5th, 2014

I recently use MSE (Microsoft Security Essential) and i know that MSE doesnt have a firewall… So, i download COMODO Firewall and installed it (i checked Firewall only)… i know that MSE cant run if there’s another antivirus in the computer… After the installation, i have MSE icon and COMODO icon (at the taskbar)… Now, after few days using them, i found that sometimes MSE icon does not show in the taskbar, but sometimes it does after reboot… Now, i have reboot it twice but MSE icon does not show again…
Is it because of COMODO Firewall? i know some ppl use MSE and COMODO so what settings i should change?
Thank you in advance…

Answer #1
I’m using both and have no such problem,My guess is that it’s there but you just don’t see it because
your taskbar is set to hide inactive icons,Click on << and you might be surprised…
Answer #2
I already set it on… Its so strange sometimes the icon appear and sometimes it don’t… Idk if its affect my protection or not…
Answer #3
See if the processes are running when there is no icon in the taskbar:
MsMpEng.exe
msseces.exe
if they are running I would imagine the icon is set to “dont show notifications or icon” in taskbar notification settings…
