[ SOLVED ] Laptop doesn’t read CD’s / DVD’s

pffff my laptop doesn’t read cd’s / DvD’s any more …
i Have a sony Vaio VGN-FW21Z any1 know what i can do 2 fix this I tried 2 format my laptop but since it doesnt read DVD i’m a little bit F****

Dirty lens? Have you tried to clean the lenses with one of those lens cleaners? They do get dirty.

Try cleaning the lens. They’re really sensitive on laptops for some reason. If that doesn’t work then your player might be busted. (Clean the discs you’re trying to play too).

Go to control panel>system>hardware>device manager Look to see if your CD/DVD drive is there. It may have a warning sign next to it. Right click the drive>uninstall then go to action tab>scan for hardware changes
If this doesn�t fix it then try this and it should work:
