[Solved] Cannot open foldes with Double Click
August 5th, 2016
All of a sudden I cannot open any folders in windows explorer by double clicking. I’ve even turned on the Single click function, like the browser function, but to no avail. They also won’t open if I select it and press Enter.
I can however right click and open or manually type the directory’s and they will open then.
I’ve tried several registry fixes, but they’ve not helped.

And I even tried

I am running Windows 7, 32 Bit
Any idea’s or manual fixes are welcome. I have no problem or scare to edit the registry
look in google!!!
try opening a cmd prompt and typing regsvr32 /i shell32

You should add something useful T_T You really think I didn’t try Google?
try opening a cmd prompt and typing regsvr32 /i shell32
Tried this with no result.
Just use system restore.
I solved it, after deep searching and consulting a friend of mine who MS Certified he gave me a little reg file that fixed it for me

Try removing your mouse from device manager and restart.
Also,Do you have another mouse to try? Just trying
to rule out hardware causes. Do note that this theory
is highly likely if you had a rage attack (I know a person
who have those quite frequently and had a lot of mouses
going this way)
Does double clicking work in general?
I found a solution, as I wrote above.

Try on Folder Option..change it to single click than again to double..
if doesn’t help try to Restore Defaults!
SYSTEM RESTORE

I did try that also. Too no avail, but it’s solved now
