Skidrow-Steam Problem

I need help guys..For the last few games (From Dust, Coj: Cartel, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine, Hard Reset and now Red Orchestra 2) i have been having problems about skidrow cracks..when i use the crack, the game crashes on startup..and i have been able to run the games by actually running steam with the game, for some games using the crack files and for some not..But even running the steam doesnt get Red Orchestra running..Do you have any idea why this is happening(skidrow-steam thing) or any suggestions on how i can run Red Orchestra 2?

Have u tried running them as administrator. What about ur AV? Make sure that ur AV isnt blocking the cracked files in any way.

Thank you for answering but yes, i run everything(steam, the game exe) as administrator and my AV isnt blocking the crack files:s

Just wondering why you keep mentioning steam as Skidrow make their own installer that don’t need steam and the crack will override steam..
I never had no problem with Skidrow releases..I can run Call of Juarez The Cartel and Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad with no problem..No steam needed..

thats exactly the way it should be but i started running games with steam at the first place because skidrow cracks alone wouldnt run the games for me:s

Actually the problem may lie in the fact that ur using steam. try cracking the game again, disable steam and then try running the game. i know that running cracked games with steam has worked for u but that is a workaround that works in only some cases and it actually might be the cause of the problem. Try uninstalling steam and then try running each and every skidrow game that u got installed after cracking them again one by one. Do make aure that u run each game as admin. Try this, it might help u detect the real problem.

tried that man over and over again..no good..but maybe you can help me with this: when i uninstall steam, is there any files related to it remaining in my computer that may mess with the crack? i mean how can i completely “clean” steam from my computer? By the way when i uninstall it i delete every folder of steam(in program files, application data etc.) and clean the registry entries also, but am i missing something?

Nope u are not missing anything. That is pretty much what u can do to completely remove steam. anyways onto the point: Since what i said earlier isn’t working for u, can u tell me if this problem persists for old games that have been cracked by skidrow or only the recent ones? Also are u on Win 7 x64 because many many users are reporting that call of juarez isnt workin on their 64bit OS. Have u tried individual crashfixes for these games. check out sites such as gamesbrood or gamecrashfixed for more details on separate fixes for each game. Maybe those’ll work for u.

thank you very much for your help. and no, im on vista 32bit and yes, the old skidrow releases work fine..weird:s
