Should i install windows xp 32 or 64 bit?

February 14th, 2014

hey guys,
this is my situation, i’m going to format my pc and atm i’m running a legit version of windows XP 32bit, should i download a 64bit version of xp or not? cause i have 4gbs of RAM.
But then again, how easy is it to activate windows XP 64bit and is most software compatible with 64bit? can i still run 32bit applications?
Will i have much advantage of using 64bit? i’m going to play a lot of games on it
Grtz

XP x64 is the most failed OS Microsoft ever made…If you have to go 64 bit..Maybe consider Windows 7 64 bit..

i already downloaded win7 64bit ultimate, but i’m not really a big fan about Win7, i think i’m just gonna install my win XP 32bit and when i’ll do another format i’ll install win7, i’m just not ready and not willing to change, just hate win7.
Answer #3
Don’t bother with XP x64…
Answer #4
getting Windows7 64bit is a better option than installing XP 64bit
Moreover, your RAM is 4GB and windows 7 will run smoothly
Answer #5
just stick to windows xp 32bit
Answer #6
Either stick with windows xp 32Bit or go with windows 7 64 bit and i know i would choose windows 7 64bit!

but i'm not really a big fan about Win7
That’s what I said about 6 months ago, now I’m not a fan of XP anymore. Windows 7 is cool, you just got to get used to the difference between it and XP.
Answer #8
like most of the above stated, if you stick with XP, stay 32bit, if you decide on Win7, go with 64bit, XP really never took off with 64bit lots of problems, for a really stable system Win7 out does xp in all things, just looks a little diff, but after you see, it is much easier to operate,

Another option is to install Win7 64 bit and use this XP theme:
