Setting up Xbox live using wireless adapter?

I ordered Xbox Live Gold 12 Month + Wireless Adapter off eBay
I obviously would have to set up xbox live account and obviously need to plug adapter into 360 but would i need a wireless router or would wireless adapter connect to Xbox Live without the need of anything else?

Yes, you need a wireless router of course. But otherwise yes.

Yes you need a wireless router. If you don’t have one then you better go buy one…But yea the adapter will connect once you go into network settings and have it search for available connections.
