Restarted PC, still can’t delete an MKV file

restarted PC, still says the file is open and can’t delete, but it isn’t open!
what can I do??

Yeah what he said Unlocker should work but a good program to keep in mind is a application bootable OS called Hiren’s BootCD and 14.1 is the newest use that Make sure u have magiciso to burn it to a dvd. It has tons of programs on it and it loads up when u restart your pc with the disk in. Id recomend that but its takes little time but it should be able to delete your mkv files because it loads a separate operating system from the disk where your computer cant rewrite any data so all ur virus should be able to be scanned any files u want can be deleted

Just had the same problem … Could not even right click the file or Windows Explorer would lock up and stop responding..
Doing it from a Command Prompt was the answer…

if all else fails use a boot CD and delete it from that.
