Remote Software

Trying to help a friend out with fixing some issues, did a search on the forum for remote and not a lot found. Can someone recommend a software piece for doing a remote desktop, something easy to use.

Teamviewer is a good one. Very easy to use.

If you use Teamviewer go to Services and set it to Manual, otherwise it will auto start with your PC and leaves a potential backdoor open. It does mean that you will need to actually start the program each time to use it but its safer.

That teamviewer service comment is only partially correct , passwords are regenerated upon the client restarting (unless either set to “wait mode” or a fixed password have been assigned .
