Question about Win7 to win10 that I still cant find the answer
August 6th, 2016
My question is.. Will this work? Or will it find out that i use an activator and will void my license
Well, my W7 was activated with daz loader.
Then I downloaded W10 using that MS tool – MediaCreationToolx64.
I did an upgrade to W10 Pro X64.
Then my “license” was “lost” i.e. non genuine, but I just used kmspico and voila, they are activated without any problem.
Was that your question. – you can upgrade it without any problem.
No clue why yours failed Tex Wiler but upgrading from activated win7 with Daz Loader to win 10 will make your windows activated. I have tested it.
Found this:

I want more feedback please if its ok.. Pls and thank you
You will lose the activation once updated and you need to run the kmspico. You may not lose the validity instantaneously but in some time you will. So it’s better to use a kms emulator that every 180 days will renew the license.

I think that’s the important point…Upgrading..
If you upgrade, it will see your old license (the loader gives you a legit license for an OEM machine) and then it gives you a new permanent one that applies to your PC..(It notes your main hardware, probably the motherboard ID, so I’m told).
If you clean instal, straight off though, and every thing gets wiped before those checks, there will be no hardware ID or Win 10 license stored in Micro$oft’s servers, so you would have to activate it yourself..No freebie..
That’s my theory from what I can gather, so far..
By what I read, you should update first, then Micro$oft is happy to license you against your hardware ID.
Then if you clean reinstall after that, they will see the same hardware ID and give you back your new license, so to speak .
The upgrade could be via direct download or using MediaCreationTool.

Here’s about the loader..

From what I’ve read, it’s like a 50/50 chance you’ll end up with a licensed version Not bad considering you might get something from nothing
