Printing turns yellowish.

January 30th, 2020

Hi all,
I have a good printer canon pixma mx 870. Have been printing digital prints without any problem.
However whenever i try to print dvd covers it turns out yellowish, meaning the covers do have colors but there is a yellowish element to it.
Have used multiple softwares including easy dvd cover print.. etc.
But same result. Using photoshop did some help.. but with PS is kind too much work.
The JPG source for the prints are not yellowish.
Is this normal?
Help greatly appreciated.

Answer #1
Since normal images are OK and only the dvd covers are affected it sounds like this issue could be related to the characteristics of the dvd cover paper.
It’s worth seeing if you can get a better result with a different brand.
Answer #2
Yes, and also if the ink is cheap stuff, it may do that.
