I very confused between portable HDD’s need your opinions
i wanna buy 1TB Portable HDD from Seagate or WD
but what is Different between
1.Seagate expansion 3.5″ and 2.5″??
2. Seagate Goflex 3.5″ and 2.5″??
What the difference between 3.5 and 2.5
why is 3.5 cheaper than 2.5
Which one is better Expansion or GoFlex???

Answer #1
A 3.5″ external drive are the larger ones that use the same size drive that is in a desktop PC..
They always have an external power lead or plug pack with them..
The 2.5″ are small as they use the same size drive as in a laptop..
They don’t need external power as they get power via the USB connection.

In computer shopping usually smaller parts that do the same thing are typically more expensive.
Why people wont bother search for themselves nowadays?
Usually the 3.5″ is the large version (which requires additional power), while the 2.5″ is the portable version powered only by usb. For home usage, backups, media, time machine etc i use 3.5″ since they are cheaper and i dont need the portability. If you plan on moving it often get a 2.5″ drive.
Now which one you should buy just open 4 tabs and check their specs and reviews on authorized sites like CNet.com. Sorry but i cant do that for you right now..
