Play .avi files from data disc (xbox360) how?

if i had xbox i would figure how to do this, but i sent some data discs over to a friend and he cant figure how? anyone know?� thanks

yes its burnt to dvd
he just doesnt know how to load them

well. all he has to do, is put disc in and navigate to it.
