Photoshop CS4 Layers question
January 25th, 2020
I have 2 Layers in Photoshop. And I want to integrate one in the other one. But my problem is that the second one is too small and i want it to integrate it that it gets the background. How can I enlarge the Layer ? It looks like this. I wanted the small Layer to be the Background. How do I enlarge it?
Greetz
ctrl + t on the background layer
but i dont think itll look good
Get a larger render to replace the small one
it will look bad mate..find a larger pic because if you resize that.it will look bad
There is no easy way to enlarge an image .. you will encounter pixelisation and general degradation of the image.
If you really have to do it, up the pixels per inch when you enlarge and that may help you a little.
you have to get a larger background.
you can make it bigger by dragging it’s corners or pressing ctrl+t but it’s resolutuin will drop and it will pixelate.
Thanks people, you’re really right, it “pixelates”, well I have to find another background image
edit: I have used a large image (900*563) and Photoshop automatically resizes it and makes it small when I drag it in my main Layer, when I enlarge it as you said it gets pixelated, what to do ?
edit2: I even used an image with 1024*786 but still the same ..
Try the place command instead of dragging it, File > place. But it should make a difference actually, when you drag or place an image it gets pasted in relative to the canvas size.
Thank you man !! All of you, it has worked, the problem was that you have to double click on your placed or dragged image that it gets sharp

Upload the end result?
Moved from Graphics to Helpdesk.
It’s myself so I don’t really like to post my photo in a forum
Not entirely relevant now you have done what you wanted but maybe for next time.
There is a program for PS 4 that is meant to enlarge images and retain good quality. It’s called Genuine Fractals 6
