Pendrive problem under XP

August 6th, 2016

Hello,
I hope you can help me here ppl, because you have proved that you are wise.
So, when I put my Pendrive into the USB port of my laptop nothing happens. I mean, you can notice the icon in the systray with which you can safely remove the device.

By when I open My Computer I can’t see the Pendrive icon that used to pop up after I inserted the Pendrive.

BTW, when I click on the icon in the task bar (like I would do back in the days to remove the device) the is a not very well looking icon.

I am running Win XP Pro SP3CR.

+ try accessing it thru command prompt (dos)
try using that pendrive in other pc, having XP SP2 if it detects in SP2, then prolly u need to update drivers for SP3
else call microsoft or get the pen drive changed
cos it might b a SP3 bug
