Pen drive help

I accidentally made my usb drive into a recovery partition while trying to install windows 8 from that usb drive & now I cant use this drive!!!
is there any way to change this or have i permanently lost my 16gb pen drive?
I tried deleting the files but only 2 folders were present. The windows 8 setup is hidden…even after enabling the option show hidden drives & folders its still not showing & the pen drive is loading as a partition not as a pen drive

Can you format it?
Otherwise try a low level format as shown here..

Use Partition Tools..Delete and recreate the usb pen partition..

The 13gb unallocated space is the pen drive space!!!
how to I change it back to removable drive from base drive

Right click and create partition…

Try to format it and see run a full format rather than a quick format maybe that solves your issue cheers

Open a run prompt and type
diskmgmt.msc
and hit Enter. Next, select your USB drive from the window that opens up and go ahead and format it
