[NOT SOLVED YET]Problem Installing NOD32 (Screenshot inside)
August 5th, 2016
I get these kind of messages over and over if I press ignore, and retry doesn’t work.
As far as I know I am running as admin, as I formatted this PC and I am the only one that has used it.
Anyone know how to solve this maybe?
Thanks in advance!
You can’t be running as the administrator if you don’t have sufficient privileges
But I am…
Have you tried right clicking the setup file and running as admin? Probably won’t make a difference but you never know

That’s the first thing I tried, but there was no such option on the menu…

Easy and best solution is to get a better Anti Virus as Nod32 is totally crap and won’t detect most stuff. People think “Nod32 is good as it doesn’t use many system resources”, but the consequences of that is it doesn’t detect much either. There are still infections I sent to them that they still haven’t added to their databases after weeks.
Answer #6
The running as administrator thing only applias to Vista because it uses UAC. I recommend just installing either Avira free or AVG free
Answer #7
1)Uninstall Nod32 (if applicable)
2)Go the directory where Nod32 was trying to install and delete the ‘ESET’ folder from there (if applicable). The default directory is: C:\Program Files)
3)Run a registry clean using an application like ‘Tuneup Utilities 2009’
4)Restart computer
5)Attempt to reinstall
A lot of issues can be solved with registry cleans. If i have an issue like your’s, I run a registry clean usually straight away and sometimes it fixes the issue. Because your error message states that it doesnt have the ‘sufficent rights’ to modify the file, try running a spyware can with an app like ‘Spyware doctor’; sometimes errors like these are due to spyware that modifies users rights to access/modify files.
Answer #8
Use Kaspersky internet security mate, far better in my oppinion,
Ditch Nod32 now while you can, run……run…
Answer #9
I tried that, but there’s a folder I can’t delete in ESET which is Smart Security, it couldn’t delete in any way, not after anything I’ve done, even tried a forced deletion but it didn’t work, but I’m not very experienced with forced deletion.
I too run registry fixes a lot, but the problem still exists.

It could be that your security settings are messed.
Make a new Administrator account and try installing from there.

5-and try to install nod32
Answer #13
^ Do what ” said. If that doesnt work, research a program that does forced deletions for you. I had a file that i couldnt delete in safemode even and i used this program and it got rid of it easy. I dunno what it was called but.
