..need help with accessing university libraries with proxy!
August 5th, 2016
My friend, as you are a dental student, I would avoid unauthorized access of libraries of other universities because there is the risk you may be caught and subject to criminal charges and jeopardize your license to practice dentistry in the future.
Here in America my country, university students can obtain the privilege to access the libaries of other universities via the internet at no or very minimal cost if they apply. I suggest you take the time and go that route as jeopardizing your future goal of practicing denistry is something you want to avoid at all costs. Anyway, I wish you a happy new year!
lol dude, if you’re afraid of getting caught, what are you doing here? thx for the heads-up though, i will now be “more” careful , still i need someone to help me with this! whats “EZ” proxy? and how do those online libraries work anyway? i can freely browse books but i cant save them? i rly have no idea! someone with experience tell me their opinion plz! thx

lolwhat? what the hell is this?
if you’re going to give people an attitude who are trying to help you, no one is going to help you. but if what you’re looking for is simply a proxy/program to hide your identity.
Google a program called Ultra*surf (without the * WBB censors it*)
it’s a website, which will gives you links to bypass a site.. I mean proxies… or better try the program as [b][b/] said…
Cheers……!
thank you guyz so much for your concern, but this is not the case! waiting for oher opinions!
I just began to read this topic , i dont think your seeing this quite right , no proxy or vpn or anything will give you magic access to any remote resource libraries without first breaking some kind of authentication (if it requires credentials) , your better off organizing a legitimate means of access to these databases you wish to utilize, as you seem to have no idea that incorporating a proxy server into your plan will simply mask your identity not gain you access in any way …. OK granted that if a university allowed access to only certain countries ip ranges , then sure you can seem to appear to be originating from the location you choose …. but it will still not give you some sort of guaranteed access to any databases that require authentication , what you need to do is sit down and decide what you actually want to do . as your mixing terms and words that don’t equate as such to what your saying you want to do…..
Depends on the authentication process of the university.
Some give you direct access to their archives if you use their ip address (which can be done by using the universities proxy)
Some asks for further authentication like your student id
and library pass or so. Which you need to achieve further
info.
Also, if you have any remote or physical access to those
universities computers you may set a SSH proxy to them.
Make a little research about these terms if you like to achieve
further info. Good luck.
