Need help about DVDs RIP without losing any quality
September 7th, 2022
I recently started to work for a non profit organizations.
We recive films from around the world (mostly documentaries), and we screen then in our festival. (with all the copyrights etc)
So here is the part i need help.. i need to rip the DVDs that we have already recived (from the companies), into a workable format like .avi etc. But i dont want to lose any quality… I really like the YIFYs films, because they are small in size but have exelent quality…
Can someone suggest me the most efficiency program for this work? or guide me throught the steps?
Thanks in advance!!
Handbrake/Vidcoder is your best bet to try to retain quality in a smaller file size.
Do note that encoding can take a VERY long time depending on your settings. Not a tool that can be easily used though… You will probably have to consult with numerous of guides and videos on the internet before using.
If you want something that is quick and easy but needs a fairly large file size
then try Freemake Video Converter..Choose avi, mkv, or mp4, whatever you want, and the sub setting to DVD quality.

When installing Freemake, use ‘Custom’ so you can avoid installing toolbars and other such crap!

What do you mean by smoother?
He wants a little bit smoother subtitles than how it looks currently on the pic he posted.
Try experimenting with the Font Border settings. Or try using other fonts.
