My USB is broken..

August 5th, 2016

Hello, this is the first time I REALLY need the help of my w-bb brothers and sisters.
Something is wrong with my USB-stick, the computer im using won’t recognize it, and i can’t open it up. I’ve tried other computers but they didn’t work as well..
And I don’t think its psychically broken.
My usb looks like this:

Super Talent, 8 gb.

Is their any way I can get my stuff back from the USB?
If there is, HOW?!

Answer #1
Find Your Missing USB Drive on Windows XP
To find the drive and then rename it, youll want to right-click on My Computer and select Manage
From the Computer Management screen, select Disk Management.
In this window you should see all of your connected physical drives, their format, if they are healthy, and the drive letter
Right-click on the drive in the list, and from the resulting menu select Change Drive Letters and Paths
Click on Change so we can change the drive letter. You might notice that you can select Add, which would let you mount the drive into a folder if you wanted to. We dont want to, so just click Change.
Select a new drive letter from the drop down list, preferably the one that you usually use for this drive.
Click Yes on the confirmation screen and you are done
hope this helps

Answer #3
BTW im using Windows 7 mmmmmmmmmm
you can still check in device manager to see if there is any yellow exclamation marks beside it!!
you may have to format it for it to work in windows 7
or you could try another usb port in your computer and see if that works, as sometimes the usb ports in back of computer work better than in front usb ports.
Answer #4
It says something about the error is Code 43, what exactly is code 43?
Answer #5
what i read its a bluetooth device?? anyway try this and see how it goes
1. Click the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. In the list, double-click the type of device, and then locate the specific device that isn’t working properly.
If an exclamation mark appears next to the name of the device, Device Manager can’t find the device driver. Go to “Use Windows Update to find a device driver.”
If no exclamation mark appears next to the name of the device, go to “Uninstall and reinstall the device driver.”
3. Close Device Manager.
Answer #6
No its not a bluetooth device!
It’s a normal USB, and i can’t Uninstall it and reinstall, the only options i got is: Driver Details – No driverfiles have been found for this device. Update Driver – I got 2 options, if i let windows do the searching it says that the driver works perfectly it finds my device, but it still won’t recognize the USB..
When i try my other USB it recognizes, and i can see a lot of info about it..
THERE HAVE TO BE SOME PROGRAMS TO RECEIVE YOUR DATA?!! So, as you can see I’m pretty f*cked right?
Answer #7
I'm pretty f*cked right? well i did try for you but i am not no expert at these things!!!
what about if you uninstalled the usb controllers and reinstalled them again??
try this 1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Click the Hardware tab.
3. Click the Device Manager Button.
4. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
5. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
6. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.
7. Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that its working.
Also try to download and update the drivers for the USB from the manufacturer’s website.
if not then maybe some windows 7 guru can help you on this!!
also an update for you i have found this thread on a forum and hopefully will help you on this
This solution involves an attempt to remove old/unused USB device drivers that may be inadverdently causing conflicts with devices currently plugged in. It's basically an extreme version of the 'uninstall usb hubs in device manager' method. Download the following programs:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/device_manager_view.html
Run USBDeview and go into the Options menu and check the first three "Display" options. Next, shift click everything on the list, and uninstall via the File menu. Vista/Win 7 should autodetect and reinstall any drivers for USB devices plugged in automatically. If you're on XP you may need to reboot.
If that doesn't work, try DevManView and sort by the "Connected" column - ignore anything that says Yes in that column. Only uninstall USB related devices that are "No" in the "Connected" column. Do NOT uninstall any devices like interrupt controllers, ACPI devices, motherboard resources, or 'system' anything, or you will ruin your windows install.

Answer #8
are you sure this will work? i mean, what if i uninstall all my devices and they won’t come back again, thats when i will be REALLY f*cked!
Answer #9
