Hello guys recently i had this problem with my hdd…so when i bought it everything was ok…but within a couple of months my pc wouldn’t recognize it that easily…so i found out that the problem was in the cable…my hdd is an adata classic one and has a special cable ( a very thin one ). so they told me that i cannot find it in the market seperately so i took the knife and cut a bit of the material of the edge in order to fit with the normal cables…everything worked fine for about a week. then my pc wouldn’t recognize it sometimes and it asked me about two times a week to format it ( though i did it everytime ). now it doesn’t recognize my hdd at all. can i do sth about it?

Well maybe it’s broke again somewhere ?
Otherwise it looks like you up for new drive!
Answer #2
If it’s under warranty, try replacing it. If not, then you might have to buy a new one! And this is not a good time for hard-disk shopping due to overly high prices.
Answer #3
it is under warranty but because of the cable they wouldn’t accept it…seems like it won’t work at all and i gotta buy a new one :/
Answer #4
send it to the manufacture instead, if certain make like wd, maxtor, ect, fill on the there site, yes not a good time to buy hdds due to the shortages in all factories
