Multiple Monitors

August 5th, 2016

Hey guys,
I have 4 flat screen monitors, and i have 2 running now, but have a rather large desk and want to do some experimenting…as you do
So yeah… just recently installed a ATI Radeon HD 5750 on my pc, so its got 2 DVI ports (Red ports). Plus my pc has 1 VGA port (Blue port) which is just direct from my motherboard anyway All monitors use a VGA imput on their cables, and the 2 that im using now have adaptors (VGA to DVI) to connect them to the 2 DVI slots at the back. So i have 1 VGA slot free now which is a motherboard connection (not off any graphics card).
I was looking at splitters that turn 1 DVI connection into 2, so effectively if i bought 2 of them, i could turn my 2 DVI connectiond from my graphics card into 4 (very confusing i know). But the question is, can this be done Please respond if you have an opinion or idea, im interested in getting this all rigged up
Thanks!!

Splitting them would only create a mirror image nothing else

Your graphics card should have other ports on the back of it, no?
You’ll have to look into using some sort of converter to go from hdmi to vga (although i know of converters that go from vga to hmdi im not sure if it is recipricole). It’ll probably end up being pricey for the converter so i just recommend living with the two monitors unless you by a new monitor compatible with hdmi for the eyefinity set-up /:

if ur motherboard has a two PCIe slots u can install another graphics cards and make it run with 4 monitors. how ever i do not know why you are doing this because its a waste of money. most people who use that many monitors are graphic artis/animators and most i have seen have gone up to 3. the other reason u might want to have 4 monitors is that ur doing it for gamings but i think its stupid. google crossfire if ur intrested in doing what i mentioned

You have to use every video card output on your graphics card and change a few settings in the Catalyst control center. That is how Eyefinity works.
A few selected models from the high end (an 5850 etc) will have Eyefinity edition which means it can support up to 6 monitors. But yeah, I wouldn’t bother with multi-monitor unless all your monitors are the resolution.

If I’am right you can only use 2 monitors for 1 graphic card, if you want more then 2 you need will need another HD 5750 graphic card in SLI with your current one.
At least I think it is like that … lol xD.

5750 supports up to 3 monitors.
The monitor must be plugged into each of its ports:
DVI, HDMI and display port. The display port is a bugger.

ah ok didn’t know that
