Multi Sim Smartphone

August 6th, 2013

can anyone recommend a decent multi sim smart phone, it doesn’t have to be either one with a solid keyboard or full on touch screen? I don’t really want to buy one from China if possible. I’m not in touch with phone technology as you can tell I haven’t got a clue
Answer #1
Forgive me for asking but is there ANY benefit to using two carriers or two different packages?
Answer #2
do you mean phone or tariffs? its 2 business sims.. i’d rather have 1 phone for business with 2 sims and if possible the option for a 3rd sim.
Answer #3
What I meant was is there ANY reason to for you to use two numbers at once?
Answer #4
its for business use. tbh its not for me, the person thats already got a dual sim handset brought it from China. He now wants a proper handset with android or something similar on it.
i came across these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dual-Holder-Adapter-Ghost-Cutting/dp/B003N3BSB6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327093002&sr=8-1
but i doubt it’ll fit behind a smart phones battery.

both these little devices will mean manually having to switch via sims rather than having both active.
I did do a google search for dual sim smart phones, there does seem to be some out there but with next to no knowledge on handsets I’m lost. any help would be much appreciated

make sure you get one in your country if you are not in Britain to get faster delivery.

thanks for your suggestions, I’ll keep an eye on them.
I was thinking more along the lines of…
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=android+dual+sim&_sacat=See-All-Categories
if you scroll down you’ll see the large touch screen handsets but I’m lost to which is best. some of those have weak processors and RAM doesn’t compare to whats available today.
Answer #8
i wouldent recomend chinese copys at all
Answer #9
You can use most smartphones with 2 SIMS (or any mobile phone for that matter) – you can buy dual adapters, you need to trim the SIM cards to fit it though. They are about £2 for the cheap ones up to about £60 for a good one.
Answer #10
do they simultaneously function though or would I have to manually switch between sims?
HB – for what I’m looking for I don’t think I’ll have a choice but to look at Chinese handsets, thing is their processors and ram, functionality/speed sucks unless i manage to come across a fast handset

thierry14 replied: do they simultaneously function though or would I have to manually switch between sims?
You can get both – hence the difference in prices.
*Edit – the cheaper ones, you have to shut down and reboot to the other SIM.
Do some Googling.
