Movies don’t work on my Xbox 360

When I download movies off of here and put them on my external hard drive, it won’t play on my xbox 360.
Any ideas? Thanks

Try burning the movies onto a disk.

YOu will need to give the xbox a internet connection so it can download the media updates.
It wont play some files though.

are they mkv if so remux them to mp4 if there avi they should play fine

It would normally update by itself yes.
But your “media” might be a type that isn’t supported.

You need to update your xbox, if you still get an issue the video file is corrupted or that file type is not supported by xbox.
Honestly its better to have a HD Tv with USB movie support.
