Monitor issues

June 7th, 2017

My Dell M992 is blurry as ~love~. The only resolutions that work moderately well (still blurry, but not as bad) are the two lowest, 800×600 and 960×600. There’s no way in hell that I’d be caught dead using resolutions as low as that, so I want to fix my problem.
It’s a relatively newer CRT monitor and shouldn’t be busted like this.
I’ve tried:
-Degaussing
-Changing size/geometry
-Changing refresh rate (all from 60Hz to 85Hz)
I have another CRT that’s older and works fine (1998 or something), but that thing supports only a max res of 1024×768
Help is really friggin appreciated. I’ll give you massive /sexy time if you can help me fix this.

I actually did that myself and it worked for 5 minutes, then went back to the way it was before; I ended up just going out to get a new one, this one is far better anyway:
-20″
-Flat panel
-$180CAD
Thanks for everyone’s help, though.
