Microsoft Vista BSODs and is generally slow
January 22nd, 2020
For the last 2 weeks or so, MS Vista has been randomly going into BSOD. usually during internet explorer but it has done it duringan attempted defrag and in firefox as well.
I havent installed any new software or hardware withing 2 weeks.
It also starts and works very slowly even though before 2 weeks ago it was generally quite fast. For example it does not find any wireless networks for about 5 minutes after everything has loaded.
Can you help me? Thanks in advance
Provide the BSOD logs (located in the c:\windows\minidump folder)
so i could look into it,Also provide a hijackthis log so I’ll be able
to determine if your system is clean:

Check your DMA settings,If your hard drive is set to work in PIO
mode it’d make it very slow,Follow this guide (and notice the “Current Transfer Mode”):

the bsod dumps are in dmp frmat… does that matter,
It cant be the DMA settings cos they havent ever been changes, and the laptop used to run very quickly
