Macbook retina logicboard

August 5th, 2016

Hey guys,
I will try to make it short and honest.
I have macbook retina and my warranty is ending soon.
I went to apple and made me an appointment and came up with some stuff hoping ill get a replacement. What they offered me is a logic board replacement, now I am wondering if that means only motherboard aka logic board or retina macbooks have graphic card, memory slot and everything in it and therefore replacement of logic board would mean moreless replacement of the whole inners.
Thank you a lot

I’m not too sure but the only question that comes to my mind is, why does it matter? Actually, wait… you don’t actually say why you went to Apple. Is anything actually wrong with your Macbook?
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

Its perfectly fine, I just want to take advantage of my warranty lol

Its perfectly fine, I just want to take advantage of my warranty lolWell, in my opinion it’s a pointless exercise and I might go as far to say as you’re asking for trouble. I would never change hardware unless I was upgrading, or it was faulty.
I’d advise you not to go for it, especially because your warranty is about to expire. What happens if the replacement is faulty and a problem develops after the warranty runs out. Best to stick to what you know works in this case.
What did you tell Apple to get them to offer you a replacement though?
