Learning Guitar

Does anyone have any good software suggestions to use, or e-books to download? I’m entirely a beginner, so anything that starts on a low level is good.

Software there is not much really that helps you to learn. There are tones of videos on youtube just do a search for “beginning guitar”. Also thousands of websites. Personally i would spend a bit of cash on a book with decent diagrams of chords, usually they come with a cd of how the chords should sound. This site takes you some very basic steps. http://www.abclearnguitar.com/free-guitar-lesson.html
Do you have any friends who play guitar? It’s always good to have someone who knows how to play to point you out on any errors.
Sorry it’s not much help, but look forward to hand cramp for a while, and dont expect to play anything decent for a little while, it takes time.

Not true.
Guitar Pro is awesome for lerning anything from easy to advanced material.
There is a huge library of songs and training excercises for it posted here, as well.
