Laptop boot up problem

August 5th, 2016

Hey guys,
I am using an Acer 5930G laptop. Yesterday, for no reason at all, my laptop would just take forever to boot. I didnt install any new drivers/programs, i didnt configure anything, and it just happened. When booting up, i normally see the hard disk light kept flashing to see that it is being accessed. When booting up, for the first 30 sec, the light flashes (being used) and then suddenly, it just stops. I have to wait about 10 minutes before it starts working again. It doesnt harm my laptop, just that it takes forever to boot up, and it is super annoying. Any idea why?

try booting from the one that worked last (or simillar ) in the boot options menu (usually F8 whilst booting ) that sometimes sorts things out
Answer #4

Answer #5
Yes, system settings that worked successfully.
Your system will remember them.
Turn your computer on, press F8 repeatably until you hear a beep. Then it will bring a menu up, using your arrow keys, move down to ‘Boot last successful settings’. Then click Enter.
