Kombating Windows 10 onedrive copying by Drive encrypting with TrueCrypt.

So I am assuming that when you encrypt your drive the data is encryted as well?
After watching this guys YouTube video I am thinking of encryping my harddrive

But are my alternate Drive connect to my PC safe or is it just my system drive that’s protected?
I’ve heard this onedrive feature in 10 is nothing to toy with, it copies your drive data and if it find anything related to pirated content, cracked games, etc… it would probably disable them or lock your harddrive completely.
And in serious cases give this onedrive feature found something completely unlawful, it would turn over your data to the Federal Authorities.
You pretty much agree to Windows 10 doing this when you agree with the E.U.L.A.

Neither really, Truecrypt hasn’t been supported or updated for quite some time.
As for Onedrive either disable it, limit its implementation or just be sensible about what you use it for.

From the guys vid above he has demostrated that he has gotten TrueCrypt 7.2 to work in Windows 10, so it does work in 10.

I have been through all the disabling Windows 10 feature list, I think I got all the 10 spying programs disabled but you never know?
Regarding onedrive…. I had no intentions of using it in the first place, infact…. I think I got it diabled, but your never know with these Microsoft sneaky bastards!!!
They could have things hidden all over the place in the O.S., just when you think you turn something off in one place there might be a setting somewhere else that you missed.
Yeah, I’m all for ending this spying but the place to do it if you want to be in anyway effective at all is at the very edge of your lan so you can actually see the traffic and dictate what is good and what is bad. Any decent enterprise router off ebay should do this on the cheap.
Microsoft is late to the game with ~love~ what are you doing about all the websites that do the same thing ? Your phone ?
Disable it. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/wiki/odoptions-oddesktop/how-to-completely-disable-onedrive/b97a8336-62e7-476c-872c-3286c0a01cf6
You shouldn’t worry about something being locked…
The data encrypted can be copied, but in the encrypted form. Decrypting that data is a big problem, so, having that feature copying your encrypted data among all the Windows 10 users, won’t create a particular danger for your privacy…
If you care about privacy, using Internet and the major OSes is a problem.

Never a truer word spoken, I now do most personal things within Linux, and may switch OS completely based upon recent events (Check the Win 10 thread in OT).
